*** Official #25 IOWA STATE vs Oklahoma Game(Day) Thread ***

Cortez always has his best games against us. But I’ll take his poor in bound pass that sealed the game for us.

Think McClure made a great point (yes, hard to believe) - Ossun played in defense where he would drop/get into the paint @ St Bon, which allowed him to get more boards & opportunities to block shots. Now he's trapping & away from the basket. While his numbers are down (also a product of the increase in level of competition), he is learning & improving as the season progresses. All hopefully are, but his growth is pivotal to our success. He had several key rebounds, couple huge blocks, & double digit points with the throws to seal it. Great team win but also big game for OO.

Dude could've legit been called for 25 fouls. It's a joke for him to still be in the game at the end.
Calls were still rough, but at least possible to play through this year. 17-0 free throw disparity with a minute left last year.

Phew. That was tough. Felt like a textbook close road loss that would happen with Hoiberg and Prohm

Got some stuff to work on but that's another topic for another time. Just gonna be happy we won in a place we historically struggle to, moved to 2-0 in the Big 12, got another Q1 win, and now are likely 6 wins away from the tournament
