Garrett

DG’s box line:

1-4 FG, 0-2 3, 0-0 FT, 1 DEF REB, 4 PF, 2 TP, 3 A, 5 TO, 0 BLK, 2 STL, 30 MIN.

Can someone please tell me why people think that DG was actually doing so well that NOW he is slumping? There has only been one time all year that he has scored 10+ pts and had 6+ assists and that was the powerhouse team of SIU-Edwardsville.

He actually put up 26 against hawaii. He had been playing pretty well for awhile, limited turnovers, and putting up some good numbers for assists but now its no where to be seen.

He has shown in many games that he can manage the point guard position effectively. He's in a slump right now, and we don't know yet how to bring him out of it.

CyDude, get to that geology class today and let him know we're behind him. But leave my picture out of it!

Last night we came out of the 4 minutes break I think and just before that break, DG had turned it over - or close to that time. I was hoping we'd see a change there going into those last few minutes - was disappointed when Walters noted the 5 guys on the court and DG was one of them. He had at least one critical turnover in those final minutes - but I think he had 2 - not for sure.

IMO, our chances to win would have significantly increased if Boozer would have subbed DG and let Petey run the point to close the game.

In the Hawaii game he had 2 assists and 2 turnovers. Not what we need from our point. He obviously was not distributing the ball at all that night. Also, we LOST

I understand what you're saying. But he hasn't been playing poorly the whole year. He has had some good games, but seems to be having a run of poor form, and not playing to the best of his ability.

Garrett had a pretty decent first half. The steal right before half was a great read and a great play. The thing that gets me about last nights game is we were up by 6. The next four possessions went DG TO, DG TO, DG shoots the worst shot EVER, DG TO. These are 4 wasted possessions that we could have used to extend the lead and make it a different ball game. He should have been yanked after the second TO.

To his defense, the only player on the roster that is playing consistently is Brackins. No one else is stepping up and playing consistent. They didn't cut hard. They stand around. They rush shots. It is difficult for a team like ISU to make strides when only one player is doing anything.
