49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

I believe all this talk about Brock's dramatic improvement in mechanics and stuff is overstated. Just like any other NFL QB, if you put Brock on a team with a solid Oline, a serious running game, and very good receivers, he's going to shine.

I've been impressed with how he is spreading the ball around the field, and making it through his progressions. In college I thought he would lock into a target before the play started and it would be why he made mistakes.

His accuracy was elite in college and that is showing through in the NFL. It was easy to not appreciate just how many of the "routine" throws he made.

I don't disagree with this entirely but he's looked better than Lance or Jimmy G has at any point. If that were it teams wouldn't spend so much on QB's.

No matter what is future is in San Fran, the kid has made himself millions in the last month. Even if some of those weaknesses do wind up being exposed, he's proven himself to be more than capable, a great locker room guy and an elite preparer. Guys with those qualities can be 13 year back ups and make tens of millions of dollars.
Yes, If Dan Orlovsky can have a 12 year NFL career there's no reason Brock can't do the same

What I'm saying is Brock has always been an outstanding QB. We just get to see it more easily when when he has a great supporting cast.
So agree. And lets face it, some teams put more priority on height at the qb position and arm strength, etc. But Brock has the 'it' factor.

The crazy thing is he’s been doing this without Deebo Samuel. If the Niners weren’t so talented on offense I’d say he’s been playing QB with one hand tied behind his back, but it’s more like Deebo coming back is Brock growing a third arm.

Brock was an outstanding QB in college. Imagine him playing for Alabama. I think he could have put up equal or better numbers than Bryce Young. BTW, Young is shorter than Purdy

The guy is a total Purdy supporter - was on the "Brock > Jimmy or Trey" bandwagon after maybe 2 games. I don't think it's too harsh; I certainly think Brock would say he could do better.

What a month for #13.
I wouldn't say that. He has got on the bandwagon because Brock gave him no choice but I wouldn't say a total supporter by any stretch of the imagination.

He compared him to CJ Beathard for pete's sake. "Disappointing" "Won't make the team."

Is Deebo supposed to be back for the playoffs?

Anyone think Mike Green was giving a hint that he needs a Purdy jersey with the way Lazard's was hung up behind him?
That thing needs to be a frame/case. It looked tacky just hung on the wall like that.

Who will you be rooting for if BCB & the 49ers play your favorite team in the playoffs?

I'm a packers fan and my brother is a vikings fan, we've been discussing how difficult of a conundrum that is going to potentially put us in.
