In the comments of that tweet someone pointed out that each year they pick a few things relative to that season to use in the HOF. It probably isn't permanent. Still, fun to see.
Good for Purdy and all but its just a 49er's record. I really dont care.
This stirred up an old memory from a similarly odd Hall of Fame induction moment. 3 games into Cadillac Williams career they took his cleats and gloves and enshrined them as he was the first rookie to ever have 3 consecutive 100 yard rushing games to start their career. I was just a kid at the time and a Bucs fan but I remember finding it pretty strange.

I would think him being the first Mr Irrelevant to start a game at QB would be more fitting for the NFL (and more permanent).
Former Drake kicker Billy Cundiff has a shoe in Canton. He tied an NFL record for most field goals in a game for the Cowboys. I always thought that was a bit weird too.
