Yea Purdue is a bit of a head scratcher.Seems odd but whatever works for the kid.
Thought i heard Purdue had hired graham harrell as their OCYea Purdue is a bit of a head scratcher.
I haven't seen who Purdue is hiring as the OC or QB coach. Drew Brees is with the team for their upcoming bowl game. Would be curious if he has a role on the new staff.

Agree. I think he looked better than Ewers most games. Could be a good get depending on the system they go with. That’s a good get for Purdue
I think it’s fun as a fan to speculate that this new player is going to come to our school and suddenly learn how to play college football after not really doing much at his old school- but again, not moving the needle from what I’m seeing.
So we're just gonna sit here and say guys like X, Isheem, Anderson, and Petteway werent good gets?I don’t know…a lot of this transfer hype seems like a big nothing burger, especially for non-blue blood schools. I’m talking strictly football here.
Let’s face it: most of the guys that transfer out are guys that haven’t seen much playing time. Most of the guys we get in either are coming from a P5 where they didn’t do a whole lot at their old school, or they’re decent guys from a smaller school and unproven at this level. It almost feels like I’m watching a glorified garage sale: most teams are just trading mediocre/unhappy players among themselves and it doesn’t really move the needle much for anybody 99% of the time. Good players will get taken care of by their respective schools with NIL to keep them from leaving (or they go to the NFL). Mediocre or unknown players- they get the ‘ol ‘we wish [insert player name here] the best and are grateful for his time here’ speech.
Sure, there are the occasional big transfers here and there, and they seldom go to non-blue bloods…I guess I’m over the transfer hype and if I’m CMC, would pay about zero attention to the annual rummage sale known as the transfer portal.

I knew I’d catch some heat for X…rightfully so. X was a terrific get, but overall, it’s a lot more misses and a lot less impact on us than I had first thought it would be. X was an exception…pun absolutely intended.Xavier Hutchinson?
Hutchison came out of JUCO. He didn’t come from the transfer portal from another D-1 school.Xavier Hutchinson?
They’re have been some decent ones, with X being the exception, X was spectacular. Overall though- not the game changer it was thought it would be.So we're just gonna sit here and say guys like X, Isheem, Anderson, and Petteway werent good gets?
And if we're gonna be the Fran McCafferys of the football world at Iowa State, how are we upgrading talent on the offense then? You really want to go into next year with the same OL? Noel and Stanley get to be our top 2 WRs? We aint winning 6 games like that
Agreed- I lumped him in with a transfer since he was a JUCO transfer, but that’s correct, he wasn’t a transfer portal transfer.Hutchison came out of JUCO. He didn’t come from the transfer portal from another D-1 school.
Let me guess, you probably don’t like our black uniforms either, do you?I don’t know…a lot of this transfer hype seems like a big nothing burger, especially for non-blue blood schools. I’m talking strictly football here.
