Hello. I have a lot of music backed up on Google Drive. I have yet to find an easy method of listening to those files using a Chromebook. Anyone have any suggestions on how to listen to these files directly from Drive? Is their an "app" or something that will act like a traditional media player on a computer for this purpose?

Ugh if you figure it out, let me know. Pissed they killed Google music. I eventually caved to Spotify.

Well...this makes me feel better knowing I am not just missing a simple solution! There has to be something out there that allows for streaming/playlists while using music files from Google Drive.

You can upload your own music to YouTube Music.

Just download everything to a desktop and upload it through their web app. Should then be accessible from any of your devices.

EDIT: You might have to be a premium subscriber for that - I'm not sure.

I loved getting music with my Play Rewards. Went through the YouTube Music migration, but lost a lot of tracks. No way to get it back now. I hate using iHeartRadio, but I'm a pretty infrequent listener.

Try using Plex (https://www.plex.tv/) I believe you would need to upload your music to the server but might be able to connect your Google drive to it.

The downside is that you will need to buy the Plex Pass if you plan on using it on your phone. I think it is $100 bucks and it is a lifetime pass
