Honestly, that doesn't appear that bad. i went out and it was sketchy in a couple spots on highway 18 but I checked the roads and had good traction. Traction and visibility are the too biggies.
You can tell me the temp and windchill are similar to this time 24 hours ago and you will be unable to convince me that it isn't 30 degrees colder today.
You don't shovel to "clear" as much as shovel to burrow and tunnel you're way out of your house.
Had some cousins that lived in the U.P. of Michigan, that's what they did most years the snow covered the bottom floor windows.
I'm from the UP and my mother grew up there. We have some crazy pictures of snow days there. It's crazy.
