49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

I'd love to somehow just have hearing the noise from the stadium as an option.
I don't know if it's like this for all games, but I have a 5.1 surround setup and one time I turned on a game and all I could hear was the crowd noise and no commentary. It turns out my center channel had come unplugged and all the commentary was coming through that speaker.

Purdy is under contract for the next 3 years after this with the 49ers, no way those other teams even have a chance to get him. As well as he is playing, abet only 2 games, the 49ers have to be thinking he could be the future, and plan on keeping him at least as long as they have him on a cheap, controlled contract.

If this continues as this year has unfolded, Brock vs Lance is going to be fascinating camp battle to watch (assuming Jimmy gets let go due to injury, but possibly brought back in similar contract?).

Lance has to start due to the massive investment they made in him, but Purdy going to have the fanbase behind him and Lance going to get a ton of heat if he struggles.

Lance definitely is the better athlete but that doesn't make him the better QB. You could say the same thing about Justin Fields and Kyler Murry, stellar athletes, middle of the road QBs. I'd lump Trey Lance into their category.

Justin Fields is just starting to learn the position and excel. If he stays healthy he has the potential to be very special.

Way too early to say he's "middle of the road"

He's worse that Derek Carr in every single statistical category, calling him middle of the road right now is being generous. Maybe he figures it out in a year or two but I wouldn't put $20 on that happening.
