How are they going to replace that kind of production? I mean, 15 catches a year is going to be tough to replicate.

OK, but even with McNamara coming in, if I'm a transfer receive I'm probably taking a good hard look at why every WR worth a damn over the last 2 years has transferred out. I'd have to imagine Johnson and Bruce knew that McNamara was likely coming and still wanted out. It's scheme and it's Brian. McNamara doesn't fix that.
It appears that Iowa isn't ******* around when it comes to NIL and the portal. Really hoping the Arlen Harris transfer doesn't come down to NIL because I have a hard time seeing us being able to out spend Iowa.

I'm guessing most of their NIL $ went to Proctor and McNamara. They have good rbs already and will probably need the rest getting actual wrs to come
Bruce burn his bridge with ISU already? Spot is now open as he was trying to get on at ISU but we were full last year before he signed with Iowa. I know there were a few pages on CF about him wanting in at ISU.

Seems like that ship has sailed. Read that he is getting ready to enroll early at Iowa. Seems like the increased the amount he was going to get.
Arland Bruce could be a heck of a player, i think it's too early to grade him given where he played.
I'm not going to judge a WR on poor production in that offense. That was more on Spencer Petras and Brian Ferentz - the worst QB/OC duo in Division I football.
Huskers lost a 4* WR that had committed to Joseph, Johnson would make a lot of sense.
I’m not basing my opinion on him on production. When I have watched him he doesn’t run great routes. Doesn’t have great speed and doesn’t make people miss when given the opportunity.
He can get better at route running but he isn’t dynamic. Ceiling is really just a possession receiver in the slot.
He was friends with Eli Sanders IIRC. Pretty sure he was trying to get him to commit to Iowa out of HS.
The reality is, he was a high school RB who seems to have struggled a bit transitioning to WR. I'd like him in the old days, if he had to sit out but he doesn't seem to fit our needs for next season.
Interesting. He looked better than the guy they started the year with but maybe ND is going in a different direction.
