2022/23 Coaching Staff Changes

I'm certainly not a Manning person and that goes backa few years but now we also get to see what happens the moment the new guy does the same things, or results are similar with the talent available.

You have to find a coordinator that is willing to use what they have, not force what we don’t. Iowa state, even for our lack of success this year, has pieces to work with to make a respectable offense.

Call Alex Golesh and beg him to come back. What is he making at Tennessee now vs what was Manning making at ISU?

Also heard Scott Frost may be OC at Arizona State. Worth a shot? Idk.

As someone said earlier, I love Scheelhaase, especially for recruiting, but he cannot be promoted to OC.
Wouldn't be surprised after the success the Vols offense had this season that Golesh will be making 1.5-2 million after the new contract I'm sure he will be getting.

Edit: Just saw he was making 1.2 million this season so I'm sure that will probably be going up.

I get what you're saying but it seems bad form to celebrate someone's failure, I think he was trying his best, it just wasn't good enough.

If he was sabotaging the offense on purpose, or cheating then, yeah...
Yeah I don't like victory lapping failure. Can we celebrate that we've moved on from someone who wasn't good to the potential of having someone who is good? That seems acceptable.

It's bad to celebrate coaches making several hundred thousand dollars annually getting fired for doing poorly at their jobs in an industry where everyone knows everyone and coaches end up with new jobs within 6 days all the time.

Don't do that.
Same way how people will feel bad for Russell Wilson for having a bad year or whatever. I don’t feel bad for guys making hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars. I’d gladly trade in my 5 figure job with long term security for a chance to earn generational wealth in a handful of years knowing it ends in a painful firing.

Williams is not a source. Supposedly covers the team but Adam Rittenberg, a national writer broke this news. I like what CW has done but seriously who would tell the guy whose brand is drunk podcasts and tweets anything?

LOL. CW broke it well before the national news source. The fact you didn't hear about is a you issue.

And if the head guy is involved, they have to as well.

The information on that seems pretty blurry but it doesn't sound like CMC just says 'do your thing'.

It certainly seems Campbell has his hands on the offense. If he is insisting on that again then it is he who must change otherwise this will fail spectacularly.

We don’t have a spring game anymore.

Well ****. I thought that was just going to be a Covid thing. There'd better be glowing reports coming out of practice then. A Dan Campbell type winning the introductory press conference won't hurt either.

Turns out the people that immediately assumed the worst of how Campbell would handle things were stupid? Never saw that coming.
