Did I miss something? I thought Eli was thought to be a potential starter this year, at least a contributer and yet is he even on the team? I've not seen him play a minute, maybe I just missed it but I thought he was the guy in this fresh class with the best potential for immediate contribution?

If Eli was getting minutes we would have a 10 man rotation and I don’t think Otz wants that. Which I agree with, 10 is too much. It’s nothing more than him being a freshman and kind of being the odd man out for right now. I don’t doubt that he’s ready to play and I’m sure at some point in the year he will get some valuable minutes. When Tre King can play I think he will take Watsons minutes and Eli won’t be the only scholarship guy not playing much. Pretty standard for 18 year old freshman.

The only place you’ve heard anything regarding Eli being a starter or major contributor is on a message board or social media. TJ made it clear preseason that because of Williams injury, Lipsey would have a bigger role but that King is not quite ready yet.

Lmao, well, we are averaging one thread on him per 1.5 weeks of season so far.

If you've payed attention he's played spot minutes so far and is visible on the bench on TV. Not all 12 scholarship players need to play minutes every night.

More of a general observation: Is our fan base (at least on CF) more obsessed than typical about minutes for deep-bench players?
