You did great. Whether you are a pro or not, it takes a lot of jumping in with both feet, planning and skill to make projects like this happen. And a good reason to buy the right tool!!!!! Doing this without the right tool sucks!

I really like the locker. I make those in my sleep now-a-days so I like to see them done with some personality.
Anyone got any rec’s on flooring? Need to replace my kitchen floor. Haven’t done a floor before but know enough to figure it out and have a buddy to call and bail me out if I need it. Looking for something middle of the road, nothing crazy. But not cheap **** that’s hard to work with.
One note on this. The powertec track is significantly cheaper and works just as well as the Makita track.
A truer statement has never been made.
Look at whatever LVP fits your budget. Cutting depends on what you have. A chop saw will work but the blade will be trashed if you don’t use a dedicated blade like the one below. The easiest is to rent/buy/borrow a cutter and it makes way less mess. You can score and snap a lot of them with a utility knife as well. It’s really easy to install and most now come with the underlayment attached.
There's tons of floating floor options that aren't permanent like a bedded tile is.
What’s your recommended (high quality) flooring for a house with a dog and three kids? Non carpet. We have hardwood right now and the wife hates it because it shows so much dirt/grime and is impossible to keep (looking) clean. Our current stuff is higher quality but it had a high shine finish.
I know you didn’t ask me directly but a light colored LVP. You’ll always see the dirt and grime on a darker floor no matter what it is.
That's kind of the one bad thing about hard surface floors. AgronAlum is correct that a lighter colored LVP doesn't show as much. From the houses I would work on those floor sweeping robots are quite popular and keep the floors pretty clean. If you have kids though, that's always a challenge.

I'm of the opinion if you don't like hard wood, lvp is basically the same effect when it comes to cleaning. You can always get your hard wood floors resurfaced to change the color. Probably similar in price to installing something high end for the LVP department. Also installing lvp over hard wood typically just causes lots of transitions with trip points. I personally don't see the point of installing LVP over hard wood that isn't damaged.

The Milwaukee track saw is coming in Feburary. I'm thinking pretty hard about it. If I did more with plywood a track saw would be a no brainer.

I bought myself a Makita (corded) track saw last Christmas and unfortunately came away unimpressed. I was surprised, given that it reviews very favorably (even compared to the Festool), but for whatever reason I was unable to dial it in for the crisp clean cuts I was hoping for, so I got impatient and just returned it.
I ended up getting the cordless Ryobi track saw this fall (as I already have a bunch of Ryobi batteries - really have had decent luck with their vacuums and other smaller tools). Surprisingly, the thing cuts like butter and I really enjoy it. The build quality leaves a lot to be desired and admittedly does not feel like a tool that would hold up to frequent use over time. But overall I could not be more impressed given what I paid for it. I actually like too that the Ryobi track comes in 2 27.5 inch sections, and ended up buying 2 extensions also to double the track length capacity.
Sharing some photos from our garage project completed last year. As you can imagine, we spend a lot of out here

Was also an inspiration to beef up my table saw with a custom table top extension and fence extension, with a matching outfeed/clamping table. Next up is converting a Home Depot husky workbench into a much needed router table. I think I may watch too many woodworking YouTube videos...

I might have to make the Jack Trice logo for my garage too. I like how that turned out! How did you figure panel width versus height as the ratio looks great. Did you measure some artwork and did the math? Great looking garage! +1 for track saw. They are a game changer for working with sheet goods. My new favorite tool. So much easier and accurate than trying to push a 4x8 sheet over my table saw!

Just sort of made up a panel/column width/height that we felt “fit” the space. We laid 1/2 MDF panels on the floor and cut with a track saw. The cabinets were cheap ones off a guy on Facebook that we decided to float, and in my mind I wanted the Trice logo to fit in between with some space above for a sign with LED strip lights, etc. I prefer a wider logo (like on last year’s football poster) but I think the “official” Jack Trice logo is taller with skinnier columns.
Would be happy to share the contact who did our floor - certainly pricey but we absolutely love it, great for the kids too. Spills, saw dust, etc. all clean right up!
