It's just really ironic how Iowa's season "turns around" once they start playing the West.
Three things.
1. Iowa's division is garbage. Anyone that looks at it objectively can't come to a different conclusion than that.
2. Iowa's and ISU's defenses are pretty comparable, but Iowa's is much better at forcing turnovers. It's that way year after year after year. They're good at it.
3. Iowa's special teams >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ISU's. Has been since the beginning of time it seems.

I said it earlier in the season but Iowa's tackling in space is elite. They almost never miss a tackle. With that being said, Iowa's defense FEASTS on poor QB play year after year.
Friend saw Oregon's coach at the dome last night.
Yep I was there and saw him as well. The rumor I heard is 1.5 million and Nwankpa is going to follow him.
Holy smokes that's some cash. I think it would be good for Iowa and ISU to try and retain as much in State talent as possible.
Texas Tech sucks. I was at the game and TT was scared to throw the ball. How many times did their QB run right up the middle. TT should have been beat by 3 touchdowns.
Watch Iowa play sometime. Very rarely do they jump off sides or have multiple false starts. Our oline has multiple false starts in the same offensive series. We are the most undisciplined team on offense.
There were zero penalties for either team in the Iowa/Minny game. Don't think I've ever seen that before.
Texas Tech, WVU, Kansas and probably OSU without Sanders. Gundy didnt want to even play Sanders against us. He basically conceded that game to ISU and we didnt take advantage and Gundy saw an oppurtunity to win and put Sanders in.
Yep, no way was that a penalty free game. They just decided to not throw any flags.
The 1 time they blew the whistle (Campbell's Td) was a mistake too. If there wasn't commercials that game could of been over in a little over 2 hours
Now do the blocking part....
IMO some of our false start issues are 100% on the staff. We do way too much pre snap signals and motion at times. Iowa walks up to the line and just runs the f*cking play. We get way too cute on offense at times and that's 100% on Manning.
The early season Kansas team we faced absolutely beats Iowa as does a healthy OSU.
