I sometimes itch the side of my nose at stoplights or at my desk. I'm sure somebody I know has seen me.
Come On!! We're 25 posts in and no dudes have fessed up SHRINKAGE.
I do this often on the golf course and after my daughter pisses me off. I know - name checks out.
I was recently in a public place where the employees wear name tags. I can't even remember where it was.
Anyway, this girl's tag said, "Britt." And my mind being not quite right, suddenly realized that that could have been one of the guesses for Jerry's girlfriend's name when he and George were riffing the possibilities.
Even worse, I came to realize it rhymes with TWO different non-PC terms for a woman's body part. One of which is a synonym for the one that rhymes with Dolores. The other is another term for George's guess for Jerry's girlfriend, "Hest."

I've gotten about 4 phone calls in the last few weeks from people asking for "Mary."
The thought occurred to me Mary is giving my number as her fake to men like Elaine did. In the episode about Festivus. Where she wanted to get her free submarine sandwich and only needed one more punch, but gave the card with her fake number to a guy at a party.

I met a very cute girl at a party and it turned out she lived across the street from me in Chicago and she said “It’s the building with the gargoyles”.
I said “Technically they are griffins”.
She immediately just turned around and left. Prior to my Larry David moment she seemed quite interested.
I‘m still impressed by the reaction, I deserved it.

I think Sienfeld was fine making a comment or two because it was a dumb comment by King, but he wouldn't let it go and he ends up looking like a pompous ass.
Although the show is one of my all time favorites I'm not a particularly big fan of Jerry Sienfeld. The show worked because of the chemistry between the four, and honestly between the characters I think Jerry could have been replaced the easiest. Behind the scenes I think as much of the comedy could be attributed to Larry David, especially after watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. So even though Jerry is is held up as some kind of comic savant, and he certainly thinks of himself that way, I think it's a little overblown myself. Certainly very talented, but probably not worthy of the pedestal he's been put on.
The last few seasons are some of the best, which is incredible for how long it lasted, but you could see the ingredients there for it to get a little too goofy if they pushed any further. Yeah the final episode as a clip show sucks but they really made a great decision to stop when they did. I don’t have to qualify Seinfeld to somebody who hasn’t seen it, maybe the first season is a little rough but otherwise just watch it.
Likewise I‘m kind of amazed at how good the latest comeback seasons of Curb are. Season 10 might be my favorite one.
Jerry's stand-up doesn't hold up anymore. Back in his heyday he was top notch. But that style of comedy is gone now.
The show barely holds up between the fashion and the pop culture of the time. In fact it holds up in spite of that stuff because it is so well written.
Everything pre-smart phones seems really dated.
Seeing Seinfeld's stand up come to life like in his show was way better than him telling it, and the Comedians/Coffee clips I've seen have been really good.
