Disappointing 2021 followed up by a tragedy of 2022 where ISU wasted a championship effort by its defense.

Notre Dame was better across the board and yes, a physical mismatch for ISU.
ISU looked small and slow and should have been in a lower bowl.
If he doesnt make the change this year, Campbell's seat should be pretty warm going into next season. He's earned the right to make that decision (and put himself on the hot seat) if he thinks the current staff are still the ones to ride with.
Yes, I am well aware of that Dude. That same team almost lost to UNI and Kansas that year at home. If Purdy didn't make the heroic play, there was no bowl that season.

Our opponents have figured out that is what we do, and that we play for the second half. They know to take chances and get scores in the first half. They know ISU QBs only make two reads and don't make risky throws or run much. We're a dream to coach against if you have any defensive talent.

You absolutely CANNOT play the same style of football as Iowa at ISU. You'll be going for the same recruits and falling short. Football is a passing game now thanks to rule changes, embrace it or lose.
You are far too forgiving and risk doing Prohm like damage to the program if he rides with Manning next year.

Yep and in 2020 they almost lost to Baylor and then got a bunch of teams in weird or down years especially compared to this or last year.
I realize there was weirdness with the QB situation and it took until October to switch up the defense to be effective, but the further I get from the 2017 season and those receivers, the more I see that as a team that perhaps underachieved record-wise.
Was at the game, we were physically out-matched. When ND came out of the tunnel, I was “oh ****”. That and no answer for Claypool. CMC came back and changed strength coaches.

I will say my ISU text group went almost silent after the KSU loss.
Firing one of our most successful coaches after one bad year and one underperformance won't bring "hope" .
Nor would it help us when hiring the next guy (and retaining him if he has success).
I'd guess we would see a talent exodus for that decision as well.
