Then the Big12 is "the bad guys" lol. That may also make the Big 10 show their cards on Oregon and Washington, and if an invite isn't in there for them, they might jump to the Big 12 instead.

Nowhere near as bad as ISU was for a long time.Colorado and Arizona are brutal in football.
We already are the land of misfit toys. And honestly, I am digging it more and more. Then the Big12 is "the bad guys" lol.
And we worried plenty about our place at the table.Nowhere near as bad as ISU was for a long time.
Both would be fine with the right AD and coach. There's nothing structural holding them back.
I'm okay with thatThen the Big12 is "the bad guys" lol.
The ACC doesn't move the needle unless FSU and Miami get back to previous levels. They have some bigger brands, but they have a football product problem.I’m much more skeptical than you considering ABC will have its pick of any game from either the SEC or the ACC. I don’t think the new Big 12 will regularly crack the top 3 among the games of those 3 leagues.
You can probably accept feeling underappreciated at 100 million a year though..What happens first, The next new deal for the big 12? or Texa$ and ?others? fleeing the SEC because they feel underappreciated. The impending SEC fallout will be the biggest shakeup to date.
I could possibly see Oregon but have a hard time ever seeing Washington in the Big 12. They're Michigan-level snooty when it comes to academics. That may also make the Big 10 show their cards on Oregon and Washington, and if an invite isn't in there for them, they might jump to the Big 12 instead.

I don't think Warren is going to rush into anything. He handled the USC/UCLA thing pretty well. I think further expansion is inevitable, and I can't imagine not giving USC/UCLA at least two more west coast schools for scheduling. Two out of Washington/Oregon/Stanford. I don't really have a preference unless getting Stanford greases the wheel for ND down the road at some point. So if that gets us to 18, I could see things sitting tight until it gets closer to when a buyout of the ACC's GoR is more feasible. I think UNC has been high on the B1G's wish list for a while so I could see trying to get them and short of ND maybe UVA to round it out to 20 and provide Maryland and Rutgers with more scheduling partners. Going to 24 just seems like a stretch to me, but who knows. It makes too much sense for UW to not be in the B1G. More west coast presence for USCLA, academics, big tv market, et al. The only question in my mind is Stanford or UO? I actually think Stanford makes more sense, in everything but football.
I do think that eventually, B1G has 24 teams, including 2-3 more P10 plus some ACC folks.
**** like this is really why I'm cool if the PAC dies.

I think its not the top game every week, but the lower ganes that are better in the big12There’s no reason to think the Big 12’s best game would regularly be more attractive to ABC than the ACC’s best game. Often, sure. Most of the time, maybe but that’s arguable. certainly not regularly
Tulane won @ Kansas State. My guess is the selection criteria specifying top 6 conference champs get an automatic bid would have a qualifier that auto bid teams be ranked in top 12 or 15.
This year Tulane is the top ranked G5 school at #19 and Liberty is at #23. If there was a 12 team playoff, doubt P5 conferences would feel those teams are deserving even at this point. Liberty has Arkansas this week and Tulane plays UCF, Cincy and SMU. We could have a year where no G5 school is ranked in top 20 after CCG weekend.
Oregon State does. I know it seems odd, but I really like the Beavers. I'd love them to be one of the four that come to the Big Xii. Much better than Colorado. The only thing the Buffs bring is their old Big 8 History (which does have a tug).We keep hearing Yormark talk about culture. New schools would need to be a good fit.
I'm an old PAC 10 fan. It was a great league. That said I'm not sure many schools fit the Big 12 culture.
Utah fans seem like ass. ASU administration has been taking shots. CU left before. There could be a $10 million/yr difference in revenue (at the high end of estimates)
Yormark is looking west, but is there an actual fit? Arizona?
Yormark wants schools that fit culturally and Oregon State and Washington State are certainly good fits much better than CU, UW, Oregon, Cal and Stanford.Oregon State does. They would both be gung-ho about a Big Xii invite too. I know Wazzu is in Podunk, Eastern WA (I've been there!), but Corvallis (been there too!) is actually closer to Portand than Eugene is and reminds me of Ames. I think Ore. State would be a huge get, and I have no issue with Wazzu coming along with them. I'd rather have those two than Colorado and Utah who woul both be holding their nose up in the air!Yormark wants schools that fit culturally and Oregon State and Washington State are certainly good fits much better than CU, UW, Oregon, Cal and Stanford.
They might be and it is a fun story. If they can beat SMU, Cincy, UCF in the next 4 weeks the catch the nation's attention.Tulane won @ Kansas State.
Me thinks they might be good.
FWIW, I like the Greenies!
