Because for Kirk, the worst possible finish to this game is the backup leading them to a win. So put him in for an unwinnable game and squelch all this QB talk.

Open QB tryouts on campus this week in Iowa City. There's gotta be someone playing intramural dodgeball or something who can step in and be better than what Iowa's trotting out there.
They haven't played a team with a winning record. The worst iowa team in 20 years is the best team they've played this year. Look past the jersey and you'll see an extremely overrated team.
