***2022 Week 8 CFB Games Thread***

Iowa makes every game so ******* ugly, but thankfully OSU is good enough to play through it.

How ironic it took an Okie St D coordinator to "vastly improve" Ohio State's defense.

Where did all the Big 10 defense peddlers go the last few years?

Petras is so bad. Both of his interceptions were horrible passes right to OSU players.

I actually feel bad for him. It’s bordering on abusive to keep sending him out there. Doubt he plays the 2nd half though.

Is Padilla the devil? Or did kill Brain’s dog? Has to be a reason he can’t get in the game
Have said before, the more people b!tch about Petras and Padilla, the less they focus on Brian. Petras is catching bullets for Brian. Shameful to throw a kid to the wolves like that.

I also think that once Kirk realized he wasnt going to be able to hand the keys to Brian, he is just gonna be a stubborn ass and beg to get fired and get his buyout.

I know Petras is probably a competitor and try’s, but if I was him I’d honestly step down to second string and give someone else a try. It would show a lot of maturity on his part. He’s hurting this team and he likely knows that.

Seeing Petras answer to the media week in and week out while the majority of the staff and team hide says an awful lot about him.
He definitely isn't good but he's handling this **** show as well as possible.

I was thinking the exact same thing- just say you’re quitting football for the benefit of the team tomorrow.

How much you want to bet? Not only will he start the second half, he'll stay in unless they get down by 30 and the backups go in.

Not sure he'll be pulled even then. What year was it that James Vandenberg took every single snap when they won 4 games? Maybe 2012?

I think you’ll see Padilla their first possession. Otherwise it looks like you’re forcing Petras to be the fall guy for the entire offense.

This is the first time Iowa’s o-line is not a strength of the team…in a long time. Inability to run the ball creates so many issues on offense. Certainly not defending Petras but if you put this o-line on previous Iowa teams, you probably see similar results.

I still can't get over how much the Iowa coaching staff must hate Petras to keep putting that poor kid out there. They've made me feel sorry for an Iowa player and I never want to do that.
