Looks like if Max wins Japan along with the fastest lap and he will have the championship locked up.
Not that anyone is going to catch him anyway.

Really wish Ferrari would have pulled their heads out this season and given him some competition.
Still in shock how long it is taking Merc to get it together this year as well.

Sounds like the FIA is going to make some sort of report out on it Monday so maybe we'll know more then.

It is known as hiring independent auditors. Verifiable financial statements.

Kind of like how tax stuff works, Cheating requires way too many conspirators. Somebody on the cheating side will plead to save its ass.

i think this will end up being nothing. even if rbr is found to have gone over, i have a hard time seeing the fia actually doing anything significant. max is now 2x wdc and the fia isn’t going to do anything to change that

The FIA has finally released the 2021 cost cap findings, with Red Bull breaching the limit and Aston Martin in a procedural breach.

Translation: Multiple sources report that Red Bull has indeed exceeded the budget cap in 2021. But the sometimes circulating amounts are nonsense. It would be about 1 to 2 million dollars. Not in terms of car development, but due to costs such as catering and absenteeism due to illness.


As punishment, Red Bull will only be allowed to have Lunchables and Caprisun for their catering set ups in 2023.

I thought the current budget cap investigation was for the 2021 season, not this current season.

I read that it’s tied to the free meals for employees at their headquarters and costs for sick/maternity/paternity leave.

You could very well make a case that Merc wins last year with another 1-2 million to spend. Will be interesting.

It's going to be some boring politics/lawyering because Red Bull says they weren't above the cap and the FIA disagrees, ultimately it'll just be a fine I imagine, maybe cap reduction in the future.
