I don't know anything specific about that place but it probably was the same thing that happened with other state-run facilities of that nature. Lack of funding, little competent leadership, and no proper oversight leading to activist groups getting involved and uncovering a bunch of not-so-good things occurring there that ultimately lead it to getting shut down.
That's what we assume, but Chris' dad was like the warden, he could give the sorted details and such. The rest of the story series. Like, what happened to Jimmy Smith who was sent there for cranking off too much.
Cinnamon roll, I was always upset that my school growing up switched from Cinnamon rolls to cornbread as the side.
Cinnamon roll is the correct answer and also makes no sense. I have no idea why various school systems (including mine) served those together but turns out it is a delicious combo.
Personally I don't really like the combo, but that's probably because my chili is ******* delicious and needs no accoutrements.
Ironically I often put cinnamon in my chili mix, but eating a cinnamon roll along with my chili just doesn't work.
Hassel is really good. Funny because if you only saw his Twitter could be deemed obnoxious/annoying "hawk" but knows his stuff, etc.
With a cinnamon roll, but………crumble cornbread into the chili. Best of both worlds.

A lot of the obnoxious appearance is the medium. If you don't know that he likes to be a bit of a troll, you'd think he's more of an ******* than he is. Once viewed through that lens, you see the humor more.

Yeah, I always enjoyed his bits with WHO.....he's funny and talented...but also you can tell he knows his stuff (one would hope given it's his full time job) and truly is pretty fair toward/against both iowa and iowa state.
Yeah I'm pretty certain I'm proud to listen to Iowa Everywhere Podcasts.
