He was in.

Full game:

I was a sophomore in High school, and this is only the 3rd time I've said this in my life (2014 being the first).... I feel old.

I can't tell you how many times I have watched this game over the years, and this was the year I went from casual to a pretty hardcore football fan. Despite how it ended, I felt like it was one our greatest years:

Florida State
Beating both Iowa and Nebraska
The Run
#9 ranking

Highlights:

We were there, what an outstanding atmosphere it was! Hot as hell, lots of Cyclones tailgating and, oh yeah, He Was In!
I was there as well. The second half, when we started to come back was one of the best atmospheres I've ever been a part of, for a sporting event. It was just ridiculously loud with the crowd going nuts, and people pounding on their seats.

Yeah, we brought the old bus down and tailgated. I was pretty hammered by game time but that stadium was absolutely rocking.

It was a long trip home as one of the bus's rear tires started shedding rubber on I-35.

I deployed like 5 days after this game but somehow talked my chief into letting me fly to KC for the weekend to go to this game and see my brother before I left. We played 18 holes that morning and proceeded to get absolutely rocked tailgating. That day was hot as hell but super fun. LOL I don't remember a ton of the details of that game but I do remember ending the night with a T12 at Perkins.

I've never been to a game where the fans had a positive spirit after a loss.

I remember a lot of "ISU" chants as we walked out. The good guys went toe to toe with a blue blood and gave them all they could handle.

This was a big change from the 0-10-1 season

I watched that on TV with a bunch of Hok fans and soent most of the time asking them that if Reggie Evans could have been a lottery pick in the previous NBA draft, why didn't he do that?

Anyway, that was an exciting game and season until they dressed Seneca up in Heisman hype before the game in Norman.

We only speak of the first half of that season in my house, thank you.

I was not aware at my young age that they would be selling beer in the stadium. With the pre-game drinks and my Arrowhead beers i’m Probably lucky I didn’t end up like Vodka Sam.

Anyone remember that big fat dude dancing in the upper deck with his shirt off? They kept putting him on the big screen?? Always wondered what happen to that guy..

So annoying that Brad Banks ended up placing second in the voting that year. I remember seeing Seneca at Valley West Mall during the time of the trophy presentation.

An aside: Such a weird schedule - 13-game regular season, with two games before Sept. 1. Spanned three full months (92 days, inclusive) - one bye week.

(We're all aware of the bipolar particulars, I won't go there in this thread...)

Wife and I were there. Great game we were on opposite end of stadium so no idea if he was in at the time but the replays sure appear that Seneca was in bounds and ball was over goal line.

I was 10 years old, at the game, wearing my Seneca jersey and sitting right behind some of his family. If only replay was a thing then.

Didn't we have a really big goddam storm in Des Moines right before this game?

Things are hazy but I seem to remember a real nasty storm rolling through before we left for KC. It looked like the hand of god ripped out an old tree and dropped it on a fella's new ride. Trees imbedded in the side of homes. One of the few storms where I was actually pretty damn concerned.

I thought my yard Cy would be two counties over. Nope. He was dirty, but we still had our Cy
