And it took Breece, what, 6 games, to really get going at ISU in 2019?

So long as he's healthy it should be fun to see him progress.

Yeah the second half of that year was really "Breece" then a year where he was objectively #1 in nation and third year where his #s were arguably best again with 2-3 others in mix.

Montgomery is playing behind a garbage offensive line and a bad QB. Bears camp has also been saying he’s going to split carries with at least Herbert and Ebner is supposed to be worked in slowly as the year goes on. Montgomery will be a bust if you draft him in fantasy to be a week to week starter. You’re letting your Cyclones glasses get in the way. Breece is playing behind a much better offensive line, more playmakers at receiver. They traded up for Breece for a reason and that’s not for him to be the #2 back. He might start slow or split carries early on, but he’ll be the bell cow come at least half way through the season. Montgomery will be the opposite. He’s going to gradually lose playing time. The bears are also going to be behind most games so that limits Davids touches. Bears have no one outside of Darnell Mooney at receiver also. Going to be a long year for Bears fans. Jets are going to be improved.

U do know it’s the Jets? So u think Breece will out produce Montgomery as a rookie? They’re in a tougher division & have a tougher slate, honestly they may go 0-10 before beating the bears, plus they already lost their tackle to a season-ending injury. Wilson is not better than JF & everyone seems to dismiss the fact that Fields had one of the worst coaches in the league last year. For the ppl who rarely watched last season, there is zero strategy to Nagy’s scheme & the reason why Foles was caught saying it just doesnt work. His run scheme was predictable inside zone/split-zone, hardly anything else to it cuz he believed his pass scheme was his run game.

Herbert & Ebner will not be good enough to minimize Montgomery’s role yet. Sure the new front office might be the type to try & manipulate DM’s value on a contract year but I’m gonna bet on DM getting more total yards than Breece

I'm just glad we can have this argument and not have it be about only preseason games because neither player was going to make a roster.

Have you looked at the bears team!? They’re awful. They have no offensive line. Every single team is going to stack the box to stop the run and cover up Mooney on d. the only reason DM could get more than breece is because he will need to be the bears offense.

Teams will stack the box & constantly stunt JF cuz he doesn’t improvise well or efficiently navigate the pocket so i do think DM will become the offense to protect him. They’ll ride DM as much as possible & then let him head off into FA
