Fact: If you smell a strong chlorine smell, it's not the chlorine. Chlorine, even in high concentrations, will not smell. It's only when mixed with urea that you get that smell. So high pee or sweat concentrations. You're welcome.

EDIT: Sorry, it's chlorine interactions with ammonia not urea, but... Same.

There is some truth to this, but it can also be other contaminants, and, ironically, it can be a symptom of not enough chlorine.
