SicEm365 Blows Up The Athletic TV Ratings Article on Big 12 vs Pac 12

This part bothers me, since it seems like a large chunk of "the media" enjoys shitting all over the Big 12 while fawning over other conferences.
Only idiots sign huge contracts based on opinions. The math is clearly in the Big 12's favor, and execs spending the money know it.

You expect me to read all that?

It’s a shame Mandel types will never figure out that it’s not PAC vs Big 12, it’s PAC vs Big 16 or Big 18.

The top PAC schools are just worth more as a block in a conference that isn’t the west coast, now without LA. The best bump to their valuations would be in the BIG, but the Big 12 also allows them better time slots, more markets, while still allowing for late games (better than BIG in that regard).

Whatever number the Pac10 can get, it will be more if top schools go east.

The same bump doesn’t occur with the apathetic west adding Big 12 schools.

And between Big 12 exit fees, uncertainty on which PAC schools will be there, and the long term need to form a 3rd super conference, the Big 12 has the leverage to dictate the direction is west to east

And this is over 8 years. Do the last 5 where ISU hasn't had a Kansas+ football program and TCU wasn't in the MWC and I bet the Big 12 performs even better.
TCU was out of the MWC since 2012.

ISU obviously would go up since 2017.

KSU would obviously improve if 2012 was included.

Stanford would fall if it was since 2017.

The article may be a good one, but I still am a big fan of Damon John's brand - FUBU! Wish the Bears, instead of OU, were the ones packing up and leaving!
