Had a ton of fun with this. You guys will enjoy.

I loved hearing about how what NFL life looks like behind the scenes. Had no idea players get additional pay based on amount played.
One aspect of pro sports that always seemed odd to me was that they basically do whatever they want in the off-season. Live somewhere else, train where they want, etc...

I thought Lazards idea of paying players based off of playing time was a cool idea.

It would entice players to go to schools where they would get PT but know they would get paid by getting PT. I
It’s brilliant, because it would be actual NIL payments from the conference. Fox/ESPN is paying the conference x dollars for this season to put the players on TV, so the players are compensated for the use of their name, image, and likeness. Problem solved!

It’ll never happen.

This was really interesting. I like that Allen was honest and he’s clearly not an ISU homer. Him saying he would have transferred immediately if NIL offers were presented. He, like probably 90%+ of players, wants the $$$ and the school is less important.

This along with going pro, etc. Most are as loyal as their options.

Got to taken into account what he said though, the coaching change was a big part of that part of the conversation. He was s established as a big time WR and had size/stats to back it up. Schools/donor would've been calling big time in that situation today.

Appreciated his honesty to share it, but didn't necessarily love his honesty in sharing it
