Better Call Saul

No it was a random security detail guy, they had Gus hidden away in that room that Mike stormed off to.

Not random, a body double. But that is the best description Kim had.

At the time the episode was playing out, I was getting disappointed in Mike for not seeing through the ruse. But it turned out better that Gus figured it out with a simple question to Kim, "Jimmy talked Lalo out of it?"

Can someone explain to me why this phrase stuck out to Gus so much? Kim obviously didn't think much of it but Gus knew something was up but what in that phrase gave it away?

Gus knew Lalo wouldn’t let somebody else kill him other than Lalo. Lalo set it up that way to get Gus back to his lab that he was building so he could justify killing Gus to eladio.

I assume one of two things: (1) Gus knows Lalo could not be talked out of his actions, so it might be a diversion, (2) Gus realized Lalo didn’t care who came to the house since it was not a real plan, but a diversion.

Agreed, there has to be some type of meet up in Omaha or something, it’s been showed a ton.
Yeah I think they definitely meet up in Omaha but I'm hoping we see her more before it gets to that point but I don't think we will. If that's the case don't really love how they wrote her ending "out of New Mexico".

Kim gaslighting a widow at her husband's memorial service was apparently her breaking point.

That's not the last we'll see her. This writing team is too good to leave it that open ended, hell, they did a whole movie to confirm that Walter was dead and what everybody thought happened to Jesse is exactly what happened to Jesse

I loved how anti-climatic that was.

Everyone expected some big crazy thing to go wrong with Kim, where she died, went into witness protection, ran off with Lalo, whatever.

Instead she just did what most actual people would do - she hit her breaking point, and she left.

It's these kind of zigs when everyone thinks you're going to zag that make me think Gilligan is the ******* goat.
