Watching NBA summer league and the play by play guy says Kenneth Lofton Jr. reminds him of Victor Alexander. Then Isaiah Thomas comments that Victor had great hands and soft touch. Also mentioned that he picked Vic in the expansion draft with the Raptors.

That is all.

Vic had great hands to catch and a soft jumper… and got by with more chicken wing hooks in the post than I can count. Loved his game. Guarded him once in a pickup game and his hind end was half a mile wide—couldn’t get around him in the post!

I was always amazed he dropped the pounds got in shape and had a nice pro career. When at ISU there were so many times the other 4 would be down the court Vic would roll down, post up then they would feed him. Glad he had a good pro career though, it'd always fun to see exISUrs have success.

I remember having a phone conversation with Ric Wesley, the assistant coach who recruited Victor, right after Victor received his ACT scores. Don't think I ever heard Ric so excited.

I also remember the nickname Victor 'Pasta' Alexander. :)

Finally, and I mean this in a very complimentary way, Audi Crooks (our star recruit on the women's team) has a game that reminds me a lot of Victor. She's a big body player with incredible hands, very soft touch, and calm demeanor. I've got a feeling she's going to have the same type of career!

Vic still holds ISU record for career FG% - .611

Also:
Second in season FG% (1st: Stevie Johnson)
Fifth in total points, season (Fizer, Grayer, Stevens, Ivy)
Fifth in PPG, season, w/ 23.4 (Ivy, Grayer, Abdul-Aziz (3rd & 4th))

Stevie Johnson?!?!?!?!?

Ahhh yes, Hercle Ivy. He never met a shot he didn't like. Never forget him shaking his fist after hitting a long shot in Hilton...when we were down by 30 points. I heard he's a great guy, though.

Yep! .663 in 1999-2000. ... Big Vic: .659 (1990-91)

Remainder of top 5: Tyray Pearson; Justin Hamilton; Jameel McKay.

Those players, plus Lard & Dendy, are in the 60%-and-above club.
Funny that LaRon Dendy is in that group, and yet the ONLY shot of his that I can remember is that short airball against UNI... you know the one I mean...

EDIT: sorry for the negative sidetrack... loved Big Vic back in the day!

It's the main shot that comes to mind when I recall Dendy, unfortunately (and unfairly). I don't know if that was a fallout of offensive structure (having to overthink) or if he just had moment of indecision.
