Troy could carry the ball 40 times a game, and seemed like he was barely winded or beat up at all. Absolute bowling ball.

Breece was faster, better in the pass game, but definitely not as indestructible.

As far as who you want... depends on what you want to do. Imagine Troy playing in Frerentz' offense - he would literally get 50 carries per game. But he wouldn't be as productive in say, Gundy's scheme, where Breece would be a better fit.

Breece can block, Troy could not learn any of the schemes.

Should do one with Haywood, Montgomery, Hall, Davis.
Yep...That's no doubt top 4. Can't think of anyone else even close. They were all pretty special just different teams, eras, and type of RB. Montgomery is the best after contact RB I have ever seen play at Iowa State and one of the better in college. He's had a pretty decent NFL career also so he's my #1.

Amundson but I wasn't alive. He played everything though. Crutchfield and A Rob pretty good too.

Breece was more rounded as a complete back.
Troy was more of a grinder.

If I had to choose, I'm taking Breece.

Was hardly a reason to go to a Clones game other than to see how many yards Troy was going to get. Remembering how short and slow he was, his performance was amazing. Always found holes, or made them, and broke tackles when the defense ran him down.

From an ability/talent/gifted/exciting, and how ever many other superlatives one wants to add, it's hard to top Breece.

Unless one also includes George Amundson, an amazing athlete at RB as well as QB.

Moses if he didn't blow his knee out.
