DeLorean making a come back?

You mean one of these? :laugh8kb:

You guessed it! Gotta love the hydrostatic transmission!

As far as the Delorean, I sat at in one at Duffy's in CR. The interior was typical 80's interior (junk) and I think it has less horsepower than a Toyota Prius. Looked pretty cool though.

My father had a 1973 Ford Torino with a 351 Cleveland; if I remember correctly that was a "Starsky & Hutch" car. He sold it within three months of my obtaining a license and issued me a 1978 Ford Fiesta...

oooooh thats so cold. A Fiesta? that was a hatchback little thing wasnt it?

I would bring back the 1970 Hemi Superbird. That way I could afford one. (and it would have to have the real 426 Hemi) My second choice would be the 1970 LS6 Chevelle.

Are you thinking of the Festiva?

Ah yes, you are correct. My parents wanted to get me a Ford Festiva or a Plymouth Sundance. They chose the Sundance because it was cheaper. Grrrr.

I also drove around my great aunts silver Omni. Tell you what, that was definitely the most fun car Ive driven. That thing would zip along and bounce all over.

Funny thing about the Festiva. My dad had one. My dad is about 6'3" and probably goes 250-260. He's a big dude. Anyway, he bought one to save gas money. I still can't believe that he was able to get in and out of that thing.

It reminded me of Officer Hightower pulling out the front seat of the police cruiser and driving from the back seat.

It was particularly cold considering I was getting used to the Torino! I can't believe how much Fiesta / Festiva talk has been generated. Ford only sold the Fiesta model in the states for a couple of years, then it was succeeded by the Festiva. They were both crappy econoboxes...

The Austin Healey - last produced in 1972. I think they might be coming back also now.

Two cars, actually:

The 1967 Pontiac GTO to replace the one that basically looks like a souped up 1997-2004 Grand Prix (not that it's not a sweet-looking car, it's just not a GTO).

the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Resurrect the Bandit!
My sister had a 77 Firebird.......I was stuck with a 76 Nova with a 262. Completely unfair. I had to do a reverse drop to get the wheels smoking. And then I caught it on fire, and it burned to the ground. Maybe my parents did know what they were doing.

I have a neighbor with a DeLorean that he parks on the street. I've never seen him drive it, but I'm tempted to introduce myself and see if I can drive/ride in it.

The Mercury Cyclone with the 427 was THE drag racing car of "the day". You could buy one in the morning and win races in the afternoon.
