Remote Jobs

Wife is looking into remote work as daycare costs are getting to be too much. She is certified in radiology but has been working in inventory the past few years. Anyone done coding or have any ideas of something that could be done where the schedule is flexible like that?
More and more industries are finding they can be remote...coding included.

Dang I always thought radiology was a good job.

This question is kind of tough to answer without any additional information.

Go on linkedin or indeed and the jobs will usually tell you if they are remote or hyrid.

At my company, we have both in-office and remote workers, and tge remote workers range from engineers to marketing to environmental scietists to accounting.

Healthcare consulting could be an option, but also a toss up. My company, Cerner's only clients are healthcare systems and it's a mix between clients wanting our consultants on site constantly, not wanting them on site at all or a mix. There's also 3 ways in, work for a company like Cerner or Epic, work for a 3rd party consulting firm or be employed directly by the hospital. The latter would likely not be remote.

I assume this would be a part time gig? What type weekly hours is she wanting?

My wife is an adjunct faculty member for Western Governor's University (WGU - the commercials with the owls). She basically grades papers from home part time, completely remote. They have all sorts of programs, but you need at least a masters to do it. She has a masters in physical science education, so she grades papers for the education and phys/chem/bio departments. They also have "mentor" positions where you are the instructor. They don't grade assignments, but have to create the rubrics that my wife uses.

Other than that, you can live anywhere in the US. Other online universities may have similar options (University of Phoenix, SNHU...). As a former sports writer, you might be able to find something in a journalism or other language arts department.

20 hours is what my wife is hoping for, hoping to have a third kid so jungling them and to much work isn't very likely.

Does anyone have advise on hiring remote workers?

I've been recently promoted to a manager role and tasked with growing my team. Not having much luck in DSM with quality candidates and so we are likely need to go outside of the DSM area.

Data and investing industry.
