NCAA Prez Mark Emmert stepping down

My guess is Emmert is sticking around to help do either two things:
1) Help wind down the NCAA after whatever the recommendation is this summer.
2) Be caretaker of the traditional NCAA organization while new person builds the new NCAA structure.
So, I think it is good he will be around another 13 months.
IMO the NCAA as an oversight group is done. Much of administration and compliance will be handled at a conference level. We will then see individual sport governing bodies.

And collect another $3 mil for doing absolutely nothing. The NCAA could have hired a Home Ec major right out of college 15 years ago and college sports would be in better shape than it’s in now. Hope I didn’t offend the Home Ec majors on this board.
