Obviously a very talented player. He has been plagued by physical injuries and mental health issues. Obviously mental health is an important, but is this something he can overcome?

Apparently, during the draft, one team that interviewed him noted that he wasn't all that excited about playing basketball. Being super talented isn't going to do him any good if the competitive fire isn't there.

I say no, supposedly his back was good to go for game 4, then the Nets go down 3-0 and his back flares up the next day, but then he realized it wasn't his back that was hurting, it was his mental health all along.

He's be on my short list of players I'd not want anywhere near my team. He, Harden and Russ.

As for Royce, I don't think he can speak on it. He wasn't able to get things together either.

Boogie Cousins seems toxic too.

i think he’s got like 3 more years & 100 million reasons to keep playing. There’s also the possibility theyve milked this to get 20mil from the 76ers. Been pulling this crap since LSU & couldve played his first year but milked it so he could win ROY in year 2 for another 5mil.

His only hope of recovering any of the $20 million he lost from when he was pouting, err "having mental health issues", is to continue the charade. IMO he just doesn't really like playing basketball.

His mental health issues extend to shooting the ball and I think there’s just being a poor teammate regardless of mental health. I would only pay a small fraction of his market value.

I take issue with guys who claim the "mental health issue" card, are offered the best professional help around (which is what Philadelphia did), and then he refused to see them.

Hard to have empathy for someone like that. Either way he freed up space on Philly for George Niang to crush it so there is that.
