We live out near North Grand Mall and we got a brief thunderstorm but no rain. Sirens went off twice. The wind was less than it was all day. We were watching KCCI and I’ve come to believe Chris and company are just out there. Sure we were on the lookout and our phones were going off but it just fizzled out.

Front line just moved through Des Moines. I’m southeast of the Metro with a pretty good western view. I am pretty sure I saw some type of explosion to my west, northwest. Lost power seconds after that happened. Crazy.

I am going down to Knoxville on Saturday night for races with a friend. What are the chances of it getting cancelled at this point due to rain/wet weather?

Doesn't look great for this weekend either. Kerry already switched from Knox to Bristol
