Tyrese Hunter Entering the Transfer Portal - NIL Speculation

Okay...no reason to expect this...but in the world of social media and speculation, the smoke we feared turned into fire. So, somehow, somebody can eventually find out just what cost it took & by what businesses/donors to pull it off for his future school. I mean, this isn't about hard feelings, this is about...don't we have to know what we're up against if we are forced to play this game in the future! ??? And I don't care if its us fans....Doesn't TJ, Matt, etc. need to know & deserve what market they're up against?

Going to be hard to keep a successful frosh without a stockpile of cash available. I'm not going to blame all this for ruining CBB as the system was unfair before and the one and dones already wounded it but this will be a change for a while. Hopefully it ebbs after a bit of chaos.

Should the goal to be to coach the hell out of 3*s and skip 4* talent?

The old sweet spot was finding players like Niang and Morris, future NBA talents who could contribute 4 years but have some physical reason why they didn't get drafted early. As opposed to THT and TH with 7 foot wing spans who left for NBA early rather than getting pro contracts with UNC.

I'm guessing Morris and Niang would have been blue blood pro contract targets as freshman in this new world. Izzo mentioned many times how he screwed up not offering Monte. Now a team like Michigan State could just pay Monte as a sophomore to fix their recruiting error.

I guess you get transfers from lower conferences and hope they got overlooked by the blue bloods.

I heard $65K from Auburn plus another $2.5 is he makes the Final Four.

Let me know the last time greed and individuals with open pockets last worked out.
Has it worked in college sports for the last couple decades that were apparently ok by your standards? Because I guarantee you there was plenty of greed and open pockets out there.

College sports has always been about money, but now it's more visible. I hate the direction of college sports, but you could see this direction coming It use to be a facilities arm race, now it's what you can offer a kid from a money standpoint. ISU just doesn't have deep pockets, nor will they ever. I'll be curious to see the financial impact this has on the state of Iowa.
