NBA: 2022 NBA Playoffs

Been waiting a long time for another T wolves playoff series, and they are hot garbage so far.

This T-Wolves game is just stupid.

First off…. it’s obvious the NBA wants a LA team to make the playoffs the way they are calling this game. It’s ridiculous.

Second…. when KAT got his 2nd foul, he probably should have been sat for several minutes, but wasn’t. Then he gets his 3rd with 4 minutes left until half, and should have been sat for the rest of the half, but wasn’t, and then promptly gets his 4th. Dumbest coaching I’ve ever seen. Now Ant and Beverly both have 3 fouls too.

And to cap it all off….. a woman comes out of the stands and supposedly glues herself to the floor in some kind of protest. WTF is going on???

He totally called a double technical. That's weak.

This game is just reinforcing why I rarely watch the NBA all year until the playoffs. It’s such a joke.

Only took that T away from Morris because they realized it was his 2nd T.

And why do you start KAT in the 2nd half with 4 fouls??? He’s nearly useless out there with 4…. they are scoring on him at will.

Wolves are 7 seed...make playoffs for only the second time in 18 years.

I won't predict them to win...but don't be shocked if the Wolves push Memphis to 6/7 game series. I've seen a few experts predict MN outright.

I hadn't seen the Timberwolves (big surprise, right?) this year but is Towns normally that aghast collecting fouls for absolutely trucking people?

KAT had a monster year this year. Seemed a bit too revved up last night. Wolves have a great young core and will be a problem for years if they can keep it together. Edwards is unbelievable.

Beasley, KAT, Russell, McDaniels, Edwards are all really young with good potential. It's definitely a nice get up and go team.

The book on shutting KAT down has been written, put a smaller player on him and he's done. He is too soft to punish you for it. Making 3s and playing on the perimeter is cute in the regular season but he has to be able to take advantage of his size when it matters. For an all star player his size, there is nothing scary about him.

JVG: I would like to form a team of brothers.
MJ: only black guys?
JVG: no, just brothers (talking about brothers in NBA).
MJ: are you going to take the Van Gundy brothers?
JVG: no

Not a HUGE NBA guy, and sorry if this has already been answered, but what is the theory behind the play-in format? Basically to guarantee more games ($) versus a one- game playoff ala MLB?

I think this was part of it, it was also a way to try to keep teams from tanking by keeping them relevant longer.
