And here I was thinking I'd get some work done today. I would literally, and figuratively, kill for any QB other than Tjack.

From the reports I have read he has a bulging disc in his back that causes a loss of strength in his legs. That right there says that he's one big hit away from needing back surgery. No thanks, not worth a dime with that kind of medical baggage.

Nothing against Sage. I like the guy but, would he really be a better than Jackson? Sage's numbers are not that great this year.

I am not a fan of either move. I think the Pats NEED to unload either Brady or Cassell. It would be silly to pay two QBs over 15 mil each..... I'm not sold on Cassell anyways.

I'd rather take Derek Anderson above Hasselbeck... No offense to the Sage lovers, but he's not starting NFL caliber and I do not trust him either....

Derek Anderson - Not the answer. I lived in Cleveland and watch the Browns. This guy was a flash in the pan.

Cassell - Isn't going anywhere. At least for next season.

Hasselbeck- Injury prone is right. I wouldn't take the risk on him either.

I don't know what the answer is but I don't see it in any of these three. What about Lienert or Warner in Arizona?

The NFL FA market at QB is weak this off-season it will take a trade and the Vikings will have to offer up something because everyone knows they need to make a move.

Sage's performances/stats at starting QB with Houston are far better than Jackson or Ferrote. The Viqueens need someone with some youth & QB skills.

You and a friend of mine both. She's not really even a Viking fan, but as soon as she saw him on the sidelines with "Booty" on his jersey, she started loving him.

Since Sage got to Houston, he has thrown for approx 3300 yards. 24 tds, 23 INTs, lost 3 fumbles, rushed for about 90 yards, and scored 1 rushing TD, in 19 games.

Tavaris Jackson in the same period has thrown for 3400 yards, 20 TDs, 18 INTs, lost 4 fumbles, rushed for 480 yards and 4 rushing TDs in 25 games.

Yeah, Sage has put up slightly better numbers. About 20 more yard per game than T-Jack. Although, if Andre Johnson played for Minnesota, those numbers might change. Regardless, the Vikings need more help than 20 yards per game at the QB position. I love Sage and I hope he does well, but bringing him to Minnesota is as much of a gamble as leaving T-Jack as the starter.

There's a giant difference in knowing you're a team's starter and coming in in a backup role. I think if Sage went through a preseason knowing he'd be the team's starter, prepare as a starter, you might see a completely different player.

If "its" and "buts" were candy and nuts....

The Vikings don't need a guy who might be good. They need a proven vet. I think Jeff Garcia would be a great choice. And if they don't think Booty can develop, then draft a QB. We may see some serious QB talent slide into the middle/end of the first round, this year. Most of the teams that pick early don't need QB's.

Hasselbeck would be alot better than TJack and may work for a year or two but he is not a long-term fix. Lets see how Booty does he may be the guy. but we need some serious help @ QB

That's a pretty big if. A year or two ago, I thought Sage was ready. He got his chance and showed that he's not as ready as I thought. If the Vikings want to upgrade their QB position, Sage simply isn't the answer.
