Next year I expect Diew's role to be consistently more similar to what it was at the end of this season. She made quite a bit of improvement over the course of the year, even with her injury interrupting non-conference. Her playing the 4 gives more versatility and probably makes things easier for Ashley. She'll also keep getting minutes at the 5 in some matchups.
However, if that happens, someone will most likely be the odd person out of the guard rotation with Ashley playing more minutes at the 3. I think Fritz will get backup minutes, because I think she's going to be a better defender and might be more well-rounded offensively than MEM and Aubrey. Then between MEM and Aubrey, it depends on who's shooting better and who can offer more defensively.
For the posts, I expect continued development from Kane, probably not as much from Jordao, but maybe some. If one of Vick or Zingaro is able to work her way into the rotation, that's a good sign. I'm still interested to see if Kane or any others start shooting more threes. Maybe Fennelly doesn't want them to, but I feel like that would add more flexibility that could keep the lane more open for all the guards driving or posting up smaller defenders. Kane's free throw shooting and her career 6-11 from three show that she can be good enough out there to pull a defender if she shoots more.
