Fran McCaffery and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Transfer Portal

If he doesn't he's and idiot and Fran is a horrible person for not pushing him to go get his money.

Say what you want about Prohm but I remember Prohm pretty much told TH to go get paid. Always cared about the best interest of the players.
Prohm was a great coach in that regard. A total players coach.

I have no doubt Fran would put his job before his players if it really came down to it. It would be truly awful if he is pressuring Keegan to stay.

While I thought the concept was crazy at first I honestly don't think he wants to nudge his kids out. By all measures Sandfort should have taken up Connor's minutes last year and he didn't.

Sandfort averaged 10 minutes per game despite 2nd highest +/- in the nation and having a PER of 18.8 and averaging 27.2 points per 100 possessions.

Connor averaged 17 minutes per game with a PER of 10.5 and averaging 8.4 points per 100 possessions.

In the loss against Richmond Connor played 23 minutes and scored precisely 0 points, whereas Sandfort got 8 minutes.

Just absolute coaching malpractice. And it brings me such joy!

Least they could do is slap his name or face on a Carver Ice machine.
No, but we aren't done with Jay Bowe just yet. Apparently Jay will be participating in the three-point shooting contest at the Final Four in New Orleans. Hopefully they will have some Wilson basketballs for him to practice with ...

He may hit a lot of them but with his terrible defense he won't stop anyone from making them.

:p

Iowa's going all in on Fardaws Aimaq, a 6'11 post from Utah Valley that averaged 19 and 14 last year. He'd be a ginormous get but he's also being looked at by some big players. Arkansas met with him today I believe.

Did Jbo get the Perry Ellis AARP award this year? I mean c'mon, Iowa has to do something for him. Why not make up an award or something.
Official Statement from the AARP Committee:

"Players with the head of a 17 year old, the body of a 15 year old, and the maturity of a 13 year old are ineligible for the Perry Ellis AARP award, regardless of natural age."

I feel he is serviceable. Could do better or worse for sure.
I don't think he's horrible or anything I just don't think he's a starting center in the Big 10. Sort of like I didn't think Conditt nor Jones were starting centers in the Big 12. They were serviceable, and you definitely could do worse, but you could also do better.

Gonzaga will need a big man. Don't know anything about this particular kid though.
