I'm so confused. Before the Wisconsin game we were told year over year win total improvement was tied for most ever. Then we win the Wisconsin game and now this article says we are tied for 2nd. Someone please explain this to me like I'm 5.

It was 19 heading into this season. So we were tied with the old record. Towson had improved that record already this season to 21. So I think we are alone in 2nd unless someone else reached 20 wins improvement this year as well.

Towson went from 4-14 to 25-9 this season, so: +21

Their season is over, so we still have a chance to tie or surpass them.
They increased their win percentage +0.513 from last year to this year.

Currently, we have increased the win percentage +0.564 from last year to this year. Even with a loss to Miami, Iowa State will have a bigger increase in win percentage from last year than Towson.

4-14 seems a lot less excruciating than 2-23 or whatever we were.
