*** Official IOWA STATE Vs LSU Game(Day) Thread ***

Wish I could be there, but that's just too much money. I should have bought tickets ahead of time like most Wisconsin fans did.

As for the announcers, wish we could have got Brian Anderson or Lisa Byington, but the networks probably said no due to their local bias.

Whatever happens tonight, this season has been an absolute success, especially after the previous misery of the past two seasons.

The only result I'll be disappointed in tonight is if we don't improve on how we looked against Texas Tech in our last game.

But even a 8-12 point loss won't bother me too much. This team has made Iowa State basketball respectable and relevant again, much sooner than we all thought it would happen.

One of my more favorite Cyclone teams in recent history when I think about it.
Tired of fans saying the season is over. ISU fans need St Peter's coach's talk ",,,,, no disrespect to anybody, but we wasn't coming down here just to lose. We came down here to fight and we did."

I never wrote or said the season is over. I know the team will come to fight.

don't really want to start a new thread, but does anyone know if the officials for each game are from mixed conferences, or are they guys that normally work together? Just curious. Feel like the Ohio State/ Loyola game is between two aggressive defenses and seems to be real physical inside and going to the basket. Could swear its being officiated like a big12 game.

They've been dropping but yeah, looked briefly at taking oldest and going but that's a bit much to take a kid. I can't remember if you can split a session ticket. Probably be easy to split with a UW fan who doesn't care to watch the ISU game

I’m planning to head up for the womens game tonight. Anyone else with thoughts on the best place to game watch the men ahead of the women? Im still a little surprised the athletic department didn’t coordinate something. There is a womens pep rally at the Alumni Center 4:30-6:15 that says “watch other NCAA games” but interestingly ends 5 minutes before the Mens tip. I can hit a sports bar in town and watch but being right next to Hilton would be convenient.
We're thinking the same thing. Pep rally and a place to hang and watch MBB before WBB.

I’ve got Tech in the Final 4. That team is tough as nails.

In one pool I have them losing to the Zags and have them beating them in another. With Kentucky out, I really like Baylor to get to the final 4 fairly easily.
