Down goes Iowa

Outside of Keegan all those losses should be replaceable. Presuming there aren't significant transfers out I'd bet on Iowa being NCAA tournament team again next year. Probably more on the 8-10 line.

I don't think Kris is that much worse than Keegan. I think Kris isn't playing this year that much for the same reason Keegan didn't play as much last year. Gotta get minutes for the kids.

I guarantee most coaches would have found a way to have a core starting lineup that included Garza, Weiskamp and Keegan Murray at the same time last year.

At least we don't have to deal with hawkroach basketball pride. Way too many t shirt fans running around the last week.
You've made my day. I don't believe I live a sheltered existence, but I've never heard or seen anybody use the term "hawk-roach" before. It's just perfect for what I consider one of the ten worst fan bases in college sports.

Honestly when I heard the talking heads speaking of final four's and even in the natty game I had flashbacks to 14-15 when they were saying the same of us before UAB happened.

With that said........they were all but handed a Sweet 16 birth with their draw. I know Providence is physical but wow. It isn't like that is some sort of gauntlet no one has ever seen.

And because I listen to WHO when I am driving........why is it that whenever Iowa losses in any game like this the postgame is like a funeral? I don't remember the reporters being so somber when asking questions of Fred and the players when they lost to UAB.

I'm telling you, karma is real and the amount of victory lapping that Iowa players and Fran were doing in local eastern Iowa media over their tournament championship since Sunday was off the charts. There's no way I could have made myself pick them having watched that. They were so ripe for an upset.
Iowa is always ripe.

KXNO talking about next year? lol. Kris Murray is not Keegan Murray and if I have to hear one more time how "look how much Keegan progress year 1 to year 2!" Kris played 20 min a game this year. He is 22 years old this year... His game isn't changing much.

Kris also had luxury of defenses worrying about Keegan all game leaving him open half time. That is gone. Kris can hit 3's...but his post up game is a shell of what Keegan post up game is..

Keegan...Rebracca...Connor...Bohanon. Gone.

I'd like to call in and just ask them if they realize Fran has like 3x less postseason success as ISU during his tenure. They seem painfully unaware of it or living in some state of delusion.
They used the phrase “name the score” a LOT re today’s game. Lol. Can’t wait to listen tomorrow.

Prohm has more Sweet 16’s in 6 years here (1) than Fran does in his entire coaching career.

Now this is an indictment!

The guy who couldn’t out coach anyone on the street has more Sweet 16’s! Wow!
