Teams that burn you in the NCAA Tournament

I can never get Gonzaga right. Whenever I pick them to make a run, they get upset early. When I pick them to get upset, they make a run.
Over the years it's been Michigan State they always seem to way underperform based off seed or overperform and I never pick either at the right time.
I remember picking Iowa State to win it all in 2001 and 2015 so yeah...
Don't leave us hanging. What happened?
As far as I know, the tournament never happened those years.
I do this every year. One of these years it'll work out.
The deepest I've ever had ISU going in a 'serious' bracket is the Elite 8 in 2014 and 2015. Didn't burn me too bad in 2014 at least.
I probably wasn't filling brackets out in 2001 quite yet.
Michigan State. I bought into the Izzo in March narrative for way too long after its expiration date.
I have a problem of picking with my heart and not my head regarding Iowa State.
The trendy pick is Iowa right now, but if I pick them, they will lose in the first round. If I don't, they will go fairly far.

Same. If I were picking this years bracket with my head instead of my heart, I probably wouldn't have ISU in the round of 32 after beating LSU. But, here we are.
I have Iowa in the Elite 8 losing to Auburn. Hoping that puts the jinx on them.
And Kansas is the weakest 1-seed. Iowa really lucked out with their draw, and not surprising they are a trendy Final 4 pick.
