NW shot 46% from the field and 43% from three and lost by 36. That is insane.
Iowa shot 61% from the field and 66% from three. Followed that up with 58% from the FT line. LOL.
Iowa's a fascinating team. Any team that matches up poorly against them is going to get demolished like NW. When you have a lottery pick and a bunch of shooters it can work that way sometimes. Athletic guards and great rebounding teams are where they have issues.
Any of those 1-2 seeds would carve Iowa up....
On any given day Iowa could beat anyone or I think lose to anyone. Hard hitting analysis I know. When things go bad, they tend to go REAL bad. When the Murrays and 1-2 other role players are hitting they are tough to beat. JB is due to go 0-12 in a big game, which they all are now.
I think Gonzaga and Arizona would beat us somewhat comfortably. Outside that I think we'd at least give the other teams a battle
I think Iowa is capable of advancing for sure but if they run info a solid defensive team, they could get bounced.
1 thing that worries me is we don't tend to win close games and haven't been in a lot. You aren't going to blow a lot of NCAA teams out if you aren't a 1-4 seed
