7th Anniversary of Magic

Seriously was one of the craziest sequences in the history of Hilton. So much dang fun being in that building. I'm a pretty chill dude ost of the time but I was losing my mind during that sequence.
To appreciate that stretch you had to see the game up to that point and how utterly awful it was going up until that technical. And then all holy hell broke loose.

That season was something else - you would never feel like they were out of it. Even when Niang scored and gets fouled to make it a 16 point deficit, everybody who knew that team thought “Here it goes. We’ll be back in it.” Fraschilla’s commentary is really good to highlight the offensive explosiveness of that group. They ended the season (before UAB…) on some insane streak of 10+ point comeback wins.

I forgot that was quite so late in the season. Things were going so badly that game. I actually did think to myself at the time of that technical, probably more wishfully than anything, that it might be the spark we need to mount a comeback Two timeouts and OU couldn't even settle themselves.

11 days later was that epic Spangler miss in the Big 12 semis.

That might not have been the loudest single moment inside Hilton that I’ve seen, but the duration of the loudness and energy of the crowd throughout the second half of that game was spectacular.

Took my niece to that game, told her at half supper might be the best thing tonight. Then as we left the game she said " I didn't know it could be so loud you can't hear yourself scream." What a great night it was.

Going to be fun when Otz gets a couple high level snipers on the team. Maybe Caleb can become more consistent this off season. We‘ll get Hilton rocking again. Hope we get half way there tonight.

Very true. Very much like the Iowa/Gesell misses the free throws game a few years prior. 75% of the game was truly awful then a massive comeback at the end makes it very memorable.

They erased a 20 point deficit in just over 3 minutes. Absolute insanity. Then they flashed to the bench during the run and we had 3 NBAers on it (BDJ, Thomas, and Nader).
