So I took a quick look through each B12 team's records in Google in games decided by 6 points or less this season (whole season, not just in-conference). This was something that the previous staff struggled with and I attribute it to a mix between in-game coaching and player maturity. ISU's record is really impressive considering the guys have been playing together for less than a year.
Here are the results:
BU : 3-1 (75%)
ISU : 6-2 (75%)
KU : 5-2 (71%)
TCU : 5-2 (71%)
UT : 5-3 (63%)
WVU : 4-4 (50%)
OSU : 6-7 (46%)
TxT : 3-4 (43%)
KSU : 5-7 (42%)
OU : 4-6 (40%)
Other takeaways: I thought TxT would be much higher given how old they are, although one of their losses was to us with only 7 players. WVU started really strong in this in the non-con but has been really poor in conference play. And OSU has played an absurd amount of close games, guessing Wed will be a nail biter just like the first edition.
