Why don't we hear more about Hunter Dekkers?

Dude was a 4-star, showed out at Elite 11, big boy, big arm, fast & athletic, he's not played a ton, but has had some big plays in mop-up duty. Why aren't people outside of Ames talking about him. I feel like if he was next man up at Texas or Oklahoma, we would be sick of hearing about him by now...

Am I missing something?

Sorry, Mrs. Dekkers. Hunter will be talked about a lot as soon as basketball season is over.

Is it news that we don't draw the media attention of Texas or Oklahoma?

Also, we had the best quarterback in school history, statistically speaking, and stumbled to a pretty disappointing season. So if you're a dispassionate observer trying to decide whether or how much to cover the ISU QB room this offseason, there's not a lot of reason to think we'll do better with the guy backing him up.

I think most ISU fans have justifiable reason for optimism, but I understand why outsiders wouldn't.

I have no idea who will be the starting QB at Texas or OU let alone the backup. Besides the OU QBs leaving, I'm intrigued with how well or how bad Skyler will do at KState.

I think you're missing the fact that its the offseason.

Usually football season is August through December with a few games taking place in January.
