ISR March to Madness thread

I have told people this year that I see Iowa as a NIT 1 seed type team and was ok with that with what we lost. I am seriously at a loss for how they are 22 in NET. When I see fran still pressing at the end of games to get the score to single digits it all makes sense. But I am thinking the committee can see that with the eye test. IDK. I say Iowa is probably an 8-9 type team if they actually get in.

If Iowa holds steady and doesn’t drop another game to a poor team, they get in and I agree are anywhere from an 8-10 seed. If Iowa State takes care of their home games and / or picks up a win on the road, they’re looking at anywhere from a 6-10 seed.

Most likely scenario is both getting that 8/9 matchup.

It would be nice if both made it this year. Otz would have momentum big time. And Fran would maintain a nice little run. I liked Taylor at head coach though.

Watch this be the year we actually get to the sweet 16 and everyone is just confused.
The NCAA Tournament makes zero sense. I’ll believe it when I see it with Fran, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened. Matchups will be a key for both teams.

We are more athletic this year and if we face a team that cannot get out in transition with us it could be a huge benefit. We really struggle at rebounding still but the Murray brothers are doing a good job there.

The problem for both teams is that if they’re 8/9 seeds they’ll face a #1 seed and I just don’t see either being able to win against whoever that is. Obviously anything can happen but neither team has proved they can beat a very good team yet.

PMac has stepped up the last couple games on the boards as well....had 7 in each. If he can keep providing that it's a big help...

Not necessarily, they could both lose in the first round. I'll take the #11 seed over a #8 seed anyday.
