Stadium construction ...

I'm not sure what I wrote that's holy, perhaps in this day and age facts are that, there are so few? But to be called out on national radio is never a good thing. And it surprised me that ISU fans, of all schools, were put on the spot. King was not generous with his comments. Then I read the comments here this morning directed at me for simply posting a third-party tweet, and I thought: welp!

What is your point?

King McClure is not good at his job.

Go back and read the definition of irony you posted. If you can't figure out why your posts turn people off, then I guess you are indeed unaware of the full effect of you words and actions.

Surly, let me spell it out for you. You talk down to just about anyone who disagrees with your posts or your takes and it gets old. A lot of the people who jump you whenever you post are just sick of you talking down to them and they aren't going to listen to anything you say anymore. Perhaps it is time for you to take a hiatus from this board.

King's point on radio this morning was validated here by an unhinged poster offended that I would post something about Ku without even adding a comment to the third-party tweet.

I mean seriously are people here not interested in stadium expansions around the league? That's a first, if true.

Did you read this thread? I didn't comment on it, I simply posted a third-party tweet about Ku's renovation. How is that talking down to anyone?

How you have treated people in the past matters. If you repeatedly talk down to someone that doesn't just go away when you post something else. Your history is what the issue is here, not the fact that you posted something about Kansas (again).

Okay, I get that I like to debate with Cyclones. I don't get being attacked for posting third-party information. This is my last post on this topic. It's gone completely nutso.

What radio show was this?

There’s not enough crimson or blue lipstick to put on that pig. They need to play at Sporting KC or Washburn U or Free State High for two seasons while they knock down Memorial Stadium and build a quaint 40,000 seat stadium for their wine and cheese Johnson County fan base.

While they’re at it, they need to name it after Bill Self who has saved the University over the last 20 years.

You seem too slow to understand why I posted the definition. But I understand.

B12 Radio's King McClure went off on ISU fans this morning, perhaps for good reason, calling them the worst, always attacking him like no other B12 fanbase. He even read some of the nasty, personal tweets directed at him. I suppose you are representative of that ilk.

I've posted news on several facility additions across the B12 including K-State, Texas, and Baylor amongst others. So perhaps it's you that gets triggered by Ku stuff. IDK. This was a third-party tweet for information's sake. I didn't comment on it. It wasn't meant to start a junior high food fight, but you showed up.
When you go from having announcers like Gary Thompson, Jay Randolph, John Sunvold, Fred White, Brent Musburger and Fran Fraschilla over the last 40 years to King McClure then you can understand the disappointment. More Iowa State fans complain because they’re the most engaged fanbase in the conference. You see that in KC every March. With all of ESPN’s budget cuts and now the proliferation of games on espn+ the fact that King McLure is on the air at all speaks volumes to how much their coverage has degraded. King provides no useful incite whatsoever. Whereas Bryndon Manzer is really good. He’s also older and speaks with authority about Big 8 and Big 12 basketball history which adds a lot to the broadcast.

Rename the stadium Phog Allen Stadium to try and fool a few people into attending. Then only put handles on the outside of the doors to prevent them from escaping.

If KU was ever able to consistently hover around .500 for football, there are enough alums in the area that would support the team and put a good number of fans in the stands. The problem is they don't have the football culture to support them while they're putting it together though. NIL probably won't help them keep any talent they get and climb out of the gutter anytime soon.
