Just got home. That was ******* awesome. I was warm all night while drinking cold beverages throughout. Mustard froze on my brat. Best part of being old is knowing how to dress in cold weather. 10/10 would do again. Hope we make el tri endure that some day.
Man hats off to Canada. Going into El Salvador and getting a 2-0 win. We struggled big time down there at the start of this thing. Canada has just given zero ***** about anything and continue to win. That's six straight wins for them in qualifiers. Not six straight results, but the full 18 points. Headed to the World Cup are our friends up North.

It wasn't too cold at the game. No wind and snow pants did the job. Beer froze the cup, though. Not nearly as cold as the nhl winter classic last month.
Really need Mexico to get the W in the 2nd half of this one. 0-0 in the 57th. If they pull it off were in with a W vs Panama and a Costa Rica loss or tie over the next two games.
One thing we've learned is Mexico is never going to help us. Seems like the rare few times we can stomach them winning because it would really help us, they crap the bed.
Especially when we bailed their ass out in 2014 qualifying. If it stays a draw tonight, will get really messy and US might need a result at Mexico or at Costa Rica + a win vs Panama.
Said it way back when we drew at El Salvador that we may regret not getting the full three there. Then we drew at Jamaica too. Both Mexico and Panama swept Jamaica for the full 6 points. We needed to win just one of those two road games (Jamaica or El Salvador) and it's a joke we didn't get at least one of them. We are just a better team than both Jamaica and El Salvador, so it's pretty pathetic not to have won at least one of those on the road.
PK converted for Mexico. Just hang on here and the road to the World Cup basically comes down to getting one victory in the last three matches. There is more to it than that, but if Mexico hold on, we will be ahead of Panama by 4 points with three matches left. Another win to get us 3 points somewhere will all but do it barring some wacky stuff.
Essentially if this result holds we just need a home win against Panama and Costa Rica to not win their next two games (tie would be ok). Obviously we get a result at Mexico first that would be great. I'm going to the game in Orlando and it is going to be an insane atmosphere.
