i know we could take about cheesed***, ferentz and rhoads forever but....randomly im wondering what are your favorite isu uniforms of all time?

i liked the ones with the red on red for home and the white on white for the road and i think cheesed*** screwed it up with the yellow pants
 
I didnt mind the yellow pants they grew on me but I think our new uni's have been the best of all ! I mean if we are gonna copy a teams look it might as well be USC
 
Those were sweet but these are fairly close to those as well but I did like the helmets better they wore for that game

I think they were throwback unis from 77 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of renewing the ISU-Iowa rivalry. Iowa was so bad for so long they didn't want to play ISU.

I think they are the best looking uniforms I have seen ISU wear also.

The throwbacks for sure. I wish we had yellow helmets now, but other than that, what we are wearing now is a close second. My least favorite were the McCarney era red on red. It's not just us. I have never liked the solid color uniforms for any team. All black, all red, all purple, whatever. Maybe it's the old school in me, but, it seems to lack something visually to me.
 
I would like to see white helmets on white/white uni's for our road games. Seems that UTexas, Colts, and others with this combo look pretty sharp.
 
They were cheesy, but I really liked the red helmets with the white ISU that sorta resembled an 80's NY Giants helmet, with the stripe under the name.
 
I gotta say the uni's we have now, got the throwback old school type but still very trendy now feel. The true ISU colors my gosh why hasn't this keg been tapped earlier? Was it because to stay fresh and relavant we changed all the time? I've never seen a team change uni's more than ISU anyone? Original ISU was black and gold for crying out loud. Stay with the current uni's maybe put the name on the back, but I love hearing my wife say on ESPN while grabbing a beer oh they just showed ISU (really USC) but she doesn't know she liked watching the Rose bowl last night because we can dream right! Just hopefully the ISU dream comes true once in a while! :wink:
 
The current uniforms with a bit of tweaking. The home jersey's add a white strip on the shoulders instead of cardinal. A little white trip around the gold numbers would be cool too.

Names need to be on the back.
 
I like these helmets but I wish it had "STATE" in the "I" rather than "ISU"
